How VoiceRelay handles your WhatsApp voice notes: ephemeral audio, no transcript storage, metadata-only logging, and durable marketing opt-out.
Voice notes are never stored
Audio is downloaded temporarily for the seconds it takes to transcribe and summarise it, then discarded. Nothing is written to disk or object storage, and there is no admin feature anywhere in this product that can view a transcript.
What we do keep
Metadata only: message ids, direction, message type, delivery status, note duration, detected language, provider, processing cost, plan and usage ledger entries, consent history and audit logs. This is what billing, support and fraud prevention need — and nothing more.
Marketing consent is sticky
Send STOP and you are opted out permanently; a later opt-out is never undone by using the service again. SNOOZE pauses promotional messages for 30 days. Only an explicit opt-in restores them. Service replies to your own voice notes always continue.
Security
Meta and Stripe webhooks are signature-verified. Secrets live server-side only. Account links are short-lived and single-use. Admin actions are role-checked server-side and written to an audit log. We never log audio, transcripts, prompts or model output.
Deleting your account
Ask us and we remove your personal data and WhatsApp identity. Financial records required by law (invoices, payment history) are retained for the statutory period in anonymised form.
